The Brewster XA-32 was an aircraft developed by the American Brewster Aeronautical Corporation during the 1940s. It was designed as a dive bomber and ground attack aircraft for the United States Army Air Corps. The XA-32 was powered by a single Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine, which gave it a top speed of just over 400 mph. It was armed with four 50-caliber machine guns, as well as various bombs and rockets.
Despite the promising specifications and early production orders, the XA-32's development was plagued by numerous technical problems and delays as well as insufficient funding. As a result, the XA-32 never saw active service and only two prototypes were built before the program was cancelled in 1943. The XA-32 is now considered an obscure footnote in aviation history and few survived to modern day.
